About Me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Medical Computer Vision at the University of Eastern Finland. I work within the Multiscale Imaging and Biomedical Image Analysis Groups under the supervision of Prof. Alejandra Sierra and Prof. Jussi Tohka. My research lies at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, and computational imaging for biomedical applications. I recently completed a six-month research visit at Harvard Medical School, where I developed methods for MRI super-resolution and multi-view ultrasound compounding. I hold both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in advanced signal and image processing. My research interests include physics-aware and learning-based imaging, with strong experience in diffusion MRI simulation, restoration (super-resolution, distortion correction, and denoising), weakly supervised segmentation, multi-sensor image fusion, and image-to-image translation. I am also interested in multimodal image generation and in emerging foundation models aimed at enabling robust, data-efficient, and clinically deployable AI systems.
